As of 9 August, 2008, there have been 4,635 members of our Armed Forces Killed-In-Action (KIA) during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These men and women have been active duty, reserve, and National Guard troops from each of our branches of service. This website is a memorial to each one of these heros who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.
As a Marine Veteran myself, creating this memorial site is the least I could do for these men and women. Having been the 3rd generation Marine in my family, which includes both grandarents on my dad's side, my father, and uncle, I respect those that have and still serve. Also serving our military from my family was my brother (USMC), cousin (USMC),and 2 uncles (US Army).
I have a son serving in the Army's 82nd Airbourne who returned safely from Iraq once and is deploying again within the next couple of months. My oldest daughter is headed to Fort Jackson (Columbia) S.C. on March 14 fore Army Basic Training, and a son headed to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, SC in June. I am very proud of all of them as they keep my families tradition of military service going and are honored to have the the opportunity to serve our great Nation.
Using military branch seals above, you can visit the pages I am creating to honor each of these heroes. The links break them down to the four branches of service, and within those links the names are listed alphabtically. Furthermore, using the links at the top of the page, you can return to this page, view and sign the guestbook, see and submit videos, contact me, view more links, and view the current time and weather conditions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also available is a photo gallery.
